Went Camping this Weekend
This Weekend I went to Big Sur with a couple friends and it was an incredible camping experience. With no waves at home and an empty weekend for all of us we figured it would be a great call to get away, drop the cell phones(no service), and enjoy the great out doors. The only real expense is the camp ground fees, which are not too expensive but put you in the middle of a couple RVs and it has running water and bathrooms. We wanted to get away from everything including those fees and we did. A mile into the forest is considered forest land and camping is free, so unless you are at a designated camp in the forest you are free to look anywhere for a good spot. Just one thing always leave the area you choose the same or better than when you arrived.
The waves were not the best but it was still really fun. Sand Dollar Beach is a cool little cove that runs close to a mile wide. Plenty of peaks to choose from and a really great beach atmosphere. We caught some wave, played some Frisbee, then packed up to find where we were camping that night.

The portrait series from Nicaragua is also out now. Black and White 35mm portraits I took of the people I met in NIca that were there still within my last 5 days. There is a short write up about them on the hover over caption. The image below will take you to the Portrait series which is also at the top of the Nicaragua page.
